Apple Drops 1GB iPod Shuffle To 49, Brings 69 2GB Version

Today Apple updated its iPod shuffle lineup by dropping the standard 1GB iPod shuffle to $49 USD and introducing a new 2GB version priced at $69 USD. The 2GB version will be available later this month.

Both 1GB and 2GB models will be available in the full array of colors: silver, teal, green, purple and (PRODUCT) RED.

The tiny shuffle as a surprisingly usable device. At $49, if you read this site with any regularity, you need to own an iPod shuffle.
